I would be intrested to know if many low frequency inverters are in use by people on this forum?. As these have proven very reliable even under extreme load (much more reliable than the  chopper to 350v dc than sine wave  conversion) .Stu

Yes, the transformer supplied in the unit is not really cabable of delivering the 8Kw for long .Replacing it (see the link above) will allow much greater output (the low frequency inverters are much more capable of delivering huge surge as H.F inverters can only deliver surge directly related to the amount of C they have)
